daweena

so last weekend was the daweena ultimate tournament in ogden(north of slc) utah. since we had such a good time camping last year we decided to camp this year as well. unfortunately it rained most of the weekend, which made for a cold wet weekend. it feels good to be back in warm dry las vegas. discoelvis went 0 and 6, which is worse than last year, but we actually played better than last year(and i didn't get a concussion), we just played better teams(the number 7 team took 3rd at the masters nationals). anyhow, it was mike's last tournament as captain, and i at least am sad to see him go. he did say that he might stay on to run/organize practices, but he doesn't want to deal with tournaments. we also aquired a new rival in 'those meddling kids' so we have someone to boat race with in the north as well as in the south(penultimate). all in all it was a fun tournament, despite the rain/cold. oh and hi eilean, have fun in death valley.
