chimay dinner
well, i just got back from a beer tasting dinner where i was able to sample 3 different flavors of chimay as well as 3 other beers from kwak and tripel darmeliet to some weird cherry beer that went great over ice or ice cream.. anyhow, it was a wonderful time. the food was excellent, and the beer spectacular, and on top of all that, the people at my table were wonderful people to be with. i had a gay couple, a home brewer, and a reporter for a beer magazine at my table, so the conversation was very informative about beer and stylish about gays. :) the dinner started with spinach dip, followed soon after with an amazing sausage stew. the main course was filet mingon with asparagus and german mashed potatos, with ice cream with a cherry beer over the top for dessert. at $40 for dinner, 6 different beers(more that 6 were consumed) tip and tax included it was definately a nice night, and one i hope to partake of again soon. oh and i scored 4 chimay glasses for my home, how can you beat that?
