i learned a new word

i learned a new word yesterday. pornado. it is a dust devil on the strip, that picks up the 1000's of porn handouts, and envelops you. i also learned that craps is very very fun, and not that expensive, if you play it to drink. jen, mike, and i played for 3 1/2 hours, and between the three of us, we ended up down 34 dollars. that's after 10 drinks, and much fun, so i don't think it was too expensive.

well after almost 4 months,

well after almost 4 months, i am once again gainfully employed. i was hired by rim solutions today, my first day being wednesday. i will be doing sys admin stuff, combined with records management stuff, and misc odd jobs. it will be paying at a $36,000 salary rate for the first 6 months, and then depending on how things are going, increase at that point. i'm pretty excited to be joining a company as it starts up, and i see quite a lot of opportunities for rim in the future. and having my pay tied to the company will allow my salary to grow as it does, which appeals to my greedy side. :)

there are so many things

there are so many things i love about music, one of them being that there are some many things. one of my favorite is that you can listen to an album for years, and never connect with a song, and then for some reason, hidden deep in your subconscience, one day, it becomes your favorite song on the album. it's like you have never listened to that song before, and all your heartstrings are strummed at once in perfect harmony. i love that.

i find it weird that i never could keep a journal while i was growing up, but i seem to do a decent job of it on the web. i know i'm not always the most regular poster, but i always come back and write more. i think the longest i ever wrote in a journal was 2 months, and i'm not even sure where it is now, so maybe that doesn't even count. i wonder if it is the idea that someone else might be reading this that makes me keep writing. oh, here is another unrelated thing. i've discovered that unless you are using a typewriter, you are only supposed to put one space after a period. i still do two, but here on the web, it gets turned into one. actually, i'm going to start to only type one space from now on.

hey ron, i think about you a lot, and i wonder how you are doing, so if you every come across this page(which i know is not very likely) know that you are loved.

so, episode ii? ya'll are

so, episode ii? ya'll are wanting a review i suppose? i thought it was very good. right up there with the first trilogy. right up there with empire. and to those who wanted to see natalie in the leia slave outfit, you get pretty close during clones, and let me say that natalie is very attractive. i went to see it in a dlp theater, and i'm not sure what to say, during credits, it was obvious that the resolution is not quite there yet, as you could see jaggies, but during the movie, i didn't notice any, and i was looking. i think that if you were sitting too close, it would be terrible, but if you are about 1/3 of the way back(what i consider to be optimum viewing distance) it looks good. it was nice to have no scratches, and no jitter/blur. i am going to go see it in a film theater, and i will tell you which one looks better.

next topic, what did bush know and when did he know it? or in bush's case, what did his advisors know, and when did they know it, since bush barely knows what word he's supposed to say next. it seems that crazy black congresswoman wasn't so crazy now. the big issue here, isn't that it happened after they were warned about bin ladin attacks, but that they denied any knowledge of this for 8 months. and think how upset people were about bill denying a blow job.

i have my episode ii

i have my episode ii ticket purchased. i have decided to see it at the orleans, in their dlp theater. i will also be going to see it in a regular theater, so as to compare dlp to film. i guess i'm not a true geek, since i didn't camp out to receive my ticket, but maybe i'm a technogeek, since i bought my ticket online. you'll have to give me your opinion todd.

i have been playing with making flash animations, and i'm slowly learning how things are done. so far i have made flash animations of 2 of discoelvis' plays. they look ok, but i don't have any movie controls in them yet. well, it's time to call some job people back, so wish me luck.

something happened this weekend that

something happened this weekend that i'm sure some of you think must have happened long ago. i was knocked senseless. this weekend i went to salt lake city for an ultimate tournament, and during the 3rd game, i layed out for a disc in the endzone, and hit my head so hard that i couldn't remember where i was for about 30 minutes. it was the weirdest thing, i didn't know what city i was in, how i got there, or where i was staying. i was kind of scared for a while, but slowly my memory started to come back, and i think i remember everything now. anyhow, we had a stellar record of 1 win and 4 losses, but we all had fun.
