freevo

so i'm really desperate to get freevo working completely, and i'm also really excited about getting it to work. i ultimately would like to have a freevo box in my living room, and one in my car w/ 2 5 inch lcd screens in the visors so you can navigate the system. imagine having 100gb of ogg-vorbis files in your trunk. i think i could do it for around $1000. that would be hot. i suppose i would need to write a wireless sync program so that when i was in the driveway it would automatically transfer the files i want to put on my car unit. damn would that be cool.

this is a good idea. first a popup ad ceo is put incharge of our privacy, now the riaa is in charge of iraq's copyright laws.

fuckin' nba refs

way to give the game to la. the games isn't over, but the refs have done everything possible to give la the game.

the phantom foul on cobi.
the 2 non calls on the inbounds play.
the charge that was called a defensive foul.
the phantom kg foul
the phantom czerbiak foul.

this is why i hate the nba.

ps and minn wins even though the refs suck.

pps even charles barkley said it was the worst officiated game he's seen in a long time.

hiking and the spiny lizard

so mke, emmily and i went hiking to the top of black mountain and ate our easter dinner of wine, bread, and cheeze(and pb and j tortillas). it was a very good day for all i think. from the top of the mountain you could see lake mead and the vegas valley, quite the view. there were also lots of lizards on the way, including a spiny lizard that i was able to get some close up shots of before it ran away. i will have pictures(or at least 1 picture) up in the gallery shortly(like in about 10 minutes). so far mike's and my plan of hiking and mountain biking on alternate sundays has been a success. i know i have had lots of fun, both hiking and biking, and i think mike and emmily have had fun as well.

oh and we stopped for root beer floats on the way back from the hike. it just doesn't get any better than that.

red rocks kicked my ass

so mike and i went biking today at red rocks, and did the 12.4 mile(14 in truth) scenic loop, and i got my assed kicked. the first 5 miles are up hill, and not slight up hill, but a pretty substantial up hill. i ended up walkling about 200 yards of it because my legs were too tired to keep pedaling. of course they were almost too tired to walk, but at least it was a different motion.

on to world events. well, i'm a little too tired to write with any kind of thought tonight(how is that different from ususal, you may ask(i don't know)) so i'll write more tomorrow. i just wanted to get something up since there was nothing on the main page.

oh and come back for news about todd and col's visit to sin city.
